I don't. I don't fear judgment anymore. I don't fear my own hesitation anymore. From the very first day I had been writing about my experiences, the stories I lived, the mistakes I did, the improvement I tried making. But all I didn't mention is the fear. What is it? And why does it exist? Even when I wasn't doing anything wrong? Why does this word even terrify others? Multiple questions, only a single notion - fear.
A calm mind. Mouth being shut, sitting on a chair for hours. I was just within me. My loop of thoughts. What would I do to improve myself? Does something like reading or writing work for me? A self-talk between me and me, sometimes me v/s me too. Multiple times I thought to write. But something was resisting me back again and again.
Fear. A word which represents stories. A word which tells imaginative failures. A word which challenges freedom.
Whenever I tried to start writing, I used to imagine. Imagine what I would write? How would I be writing better? What would anyone think about my writing? Imagining these thoughts made me hesitate more to start. I didn't even start and excuses started making me feel bad. I held myself back for almost two days.
I didn't even start and thoughts of what and how stopped me. Imaginative notions and creativity I needed but not at that time. Whatever I didn't know, I feared. Thinking this, I was determined enough to start writing the very next day.
'Whatever's going to happen will happen' - that thought gave me enough courage to start writing a blog. No more fear, just effort. From then, I tried every day to just put in effort ignoring the fear.
That day I realised fear is just imagination. A creativity which keeps us from doing what we had never done before. It challenges us, it makes us doubt ourselves. It's just an excuse to be in the comfort that's been followed for a long time. Once the challenge is overcome, it's no longer felt.
Fear is imagination. Once it gets challenged with will, courage follows.
