One day, one goal. Not multiple goals at a time. Whether it's about my experiences or the words, they improve and evolve every single day. I started writing myself out, but didn't write it all at once. With time, I am sharing it bit by bit. Expressing an incomplete thought each day helps me show up. When it finally becomes complete, it's another day of showing up consistently.
I was writing my blog a few days back and got stuck for a while. A while which made me think about all thoughts, all days at once. I completed my blog and revisited myself again. A question popped up. Did I improve all at once? No. I did it by adding something valuable to myself every day. I didn't just reach 100 days the next day I started writing myself out.
The days I failed got counted. The days I was blank got counted. The days I thought of quitting got counted. Every day, with its ups and downs, added up to 100.
I recalled a memory, the time I was around my thoughts. The memory about one day at a time. The memory which taught me that a day is a goal. I had finished writing my blog on the seventh day. A week of consistency made me feel great. A feeling like I did it.
A few more days later, I wrote a blog on consistency. Seven days were my experience. Writing it out, I realized consistency is something which we make. It's something which is in our control. With these thoughts, I decided to continue taking one day to write, the goal of a day. I didn't decide on a specific number.
As of now, it's continuing with this thought. I expressed. Goal complete. Day complete. Consistency continues. I repeat it every day.
One step at a time. A big goal is made up of small ones. That's it.
