What Writing Is Teaching Me About Not Needing Closure for Every Thought?

An ending isn’t a necessity, but enhancement certainly is. I recognise imperfect thoughts as my incomplete learnings, which will help me evolve later. The process I don't know, but I know where to stop to improve. Every thought, view, and opinion doesn't need closure; they could enhance anytime, anywhere. I feel happy when a story is incomplete. It makes me more curious to explore every possible outcome for it. Every possibility enlightens me with much more interesting views. Neither does it end, nor does it let knowledge end. On this journey, I started writing with small efforts to express. As I continued, those efforts got a direction, which later joined my discipline, belief, and confidence. That non-closure continuation helped me reduce my hesitation to express. At the end of every blog, I ask myself a question for improvement. It's not a closure but an entrance for enhancement. Messy thoughts help me to know each and every perspective of my experiences. It ...

How Writing Changed the Way I Think?

What do I write? What’s the next line I should write? Should I write whatever is coming to my mind? These were the thoughts that came into my mind when I started writing blogs. All thoughts were scattered, a full mess of thoughts going on in my mind. So does this problem exist now also after 10 days? In simple words, no. The thoughts are well structured now instead of being disordered. You all must be thinking, how?

As I wrote earlier about the problem of overthinking in my previous blogs, you all know overthinking creates a full mess and confusion of thoughts. Over-analysis of thoughts always reflects questions. It doesn’t let you focus on anything. So did I face this before writing? Yes. Daily writing helped me slow down this overthinking. It helped me organize my thoughts in a well-defined structure. It helps in brainstorming new ideas to write. Writing down your thoughts helps you be the person you are, which builds self-trust, an important aspect of our life that motivates us towards success.

Before, I used to focus on the problems that exist or are going to come. Whenever I faced a problem, I never questioned the problem. But nowadays, I have changed my focus to finding solutions to the problems, asking questions regarding the problem to myself. Before, I used to think how big the problem is and whether it will be solved or not. But now my questions have changed, despite overthinking. Now my questions are: what’s the root cause of the problem, and how many solutions are available to me? This change I saw only after writing. It sounds crazy, but it is true. The moment you write, your thoughts get clarity.

A library is a place full of thousands of books—books from various segments such as action, mystery, horror, sci-fi, self-help, history, travel, and many more. There are books for various age groups too. But who orders them? The librarian—the person who knows which book belongs to which category, the person who ensures disordered books are kept in a well-defined manner. Exactly like that, writing is the librarian for the thoughts going on in our mind. It helps in maintaining order for thoughts.

Lastly, I would say writing builds self-confidence in an individual. It gives clarity about whether the thoughts the individual is thinking are right or wrong, which makes them decisive.
